Executive Team

Andy Ellenthal CEO

Andy is an advertising industry veteran responsible for setting and overseeing the company’s strategy and growth. He joined Peer39 from quadrantONE, a joint online advertising venture of major media companies including The New York Times, Gannett, Hearst, and The Tribune, where he served as the company’s first CEO. At quadrantONE he built the organization from the ground up. Prior to this Andy was at PointRoll where he led sales efforts and helped build that company into a market leader. Before PointRoll, Andy held a number of sales management roles while at DoubleClick, Inc., where he was Vice President of Advertisers’ Solutions after previously serving as National Sales Director and Regional Sales Manager. He was one of the first salespeople to sell Doubleclick’s Dart for Advertisers (DFA), leading the sales and account management teams. Before entering the online advertising space world, Andy worked in print media sales for several niche technology and lifestyle publications.

Jonathan Schler, Ph.D. CTO & GM Israel

Dr. Schler is an accomplished applied scientist and oversees the company’s technology and innovation. He has more than 15 years of experience in analysis of online web collections and deriving intelligence from them. Dr. Schler joined Peer39 from Nielsen Online where he served as VP of Research and Development responsible for key areas of the company’s core research and innovation in the area text-mining solutions and computational linguistics. Prior to his work at Nielsen, Dr. Schler was VP of Research and Development of Trendum (acquired by Nielsen), and worked at Microsoft’s Machine Learning and Anti-Spam Group. Before that he was an R&D group leader at Clear Forest, a leader in business solutions enabled by text extraction and text analytics (acquired by Thomson Reuters). In addition to his position at Peer39, Dr. Schler is Chief Scientist of the Responsa Project at Bar-Ilan University, which was nominated for the Israel Prize. Dr. Schler holds a Ph.D. from Bar-Ilan, concentrating on machine learning, text categorization and classification, and natural language processing (NLP). He is author or co-author of over 20 published academic research papers and holds numerous patents in the area of applying semantics to advertising technologies.

James Oppenheim CMO

James joined Peer39 from The Jerusalem Post where, as Director of New Media, he managed the strategy, implementation, and sales for JPost.com, the #1 online destination for Israel and Middle East news. James, a seminal figure in the creation of semantic advertising, helped establish Peer39′s core business practices and is a key player in leveraging the company’s technological advantages to maintain and expand its competitive market edge. A noted thought leader and speaker, James is a member of the Interactive Advertising Bureau’s Public Policy Council and the MIXX Awards screening committee.

Chrisanne McCoy VP Business Development

Chrisanne McCoy leads business development for Peer39, and manages all sales and partnership activities. Chrisanne brings more than 12 years of experience in business development, sales, and consulting and has executed successful business partnerships with some of the largest media companies and marketers. Prior to joining Peer39, Chrisanne was part of the original business development team at Revenue Science that established their publisher footprint and created the foundational behavioral targeting business. Chrisanne led strategic sales for Operative, the leading provider of digital advertising revenue management software and services, and was the first digital sales manager at INVISION, the leading provider of sales management to the media industry. Prior to working in the media space, Chrisanne spent 6 years in business development and consulting roles at Peppers & Rogers Group, the ground-breaking CRM strategy consulting firm, which was sold to Carlson Marketing Group in 2003. While there, Chrisanne worked with executives from many of the largest Fortune 500 brands to set customer and audience strategy.

Alex White VP Product and Account Management

Alex White brings over 13 years’ experience in the digital advertising space to Peer39 in his role as VP of Product and Account Management. Previously Alex led technology partnerships in the Advertising Products Group of Yahoo! and was responsible for advocating and building the ecosystem surrounding Yahoo!’s Ad Technology Products. Prior to that he led data strategy on The Right Media Exchange. In that role he drove the vision and product development of their Audience Sharing product, an innovation that has several patents pending. In addition, Alex has held senior roles in Sales, Business Development, Account Management, Product Development, Product Marketing, Creative Services and Operations spanning his Internet advertising career that began in 1998 at DoubleClick. Alex’s ability to identify trends and innovate as a result of his deep understanding of ad technologies, along with the capabilities of the market’s various participants, gives Alex his strength in driving our product and managing the success of our relationships.

Ronit Dvir VP of Finance

Ronit joined Peer39 as VP of Finance responsible for the strategic planning and budgeting of the company and all aspects of the Company’s financing. Ronit came to Peer39 from DoubleVerify, where she served as the VP of Finance responsible for the domestic and international accounting management of the company. Before that, Ronit was VP of Finance at AFI USA, a holding company primarily engaged in developing real estate where she structured and refinanced company debt to assets based lending facilities of approximately $1.5 billion. Prior to that position she served as Audit Manager and Senior Auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in New York and Tel Aviv. In addition to her diverse financial background, Ronit comes to Peer39 as a true visionary in the industry with strong strategic analytical skills. Ronit has more than 12 years of finance and accounting experience, is a Certified Public Accountant and is an alumna of the College of Management in Israel.

Ofri Weiss VP of Human Resources

Ofri joined Peer39 as the company’s first employee in June 2006. Ofri is responsible for all HR and administrative activities both in Peer39’s New York headquarters and Israel research and development facilities and takes part in many HR forums and networking activities. Prior to joining Peer39, Ofri worked as HR Associate for 6 years in IDX (acquired by GE); there too, she was among the first employees. Prior to her position at IDX she worked at GE Medical systems as HR associate and administrator. Ofri is a lifelong resident of a kibbutz in Israel, and established a children’s center for after school activities there. In addition, for many years she was a guide and coordinator of programs for young adults in distressed neighborhoods in Jerusalem. Ofri earned a BA in International Relations and Far East Studies from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and holds a teaching certificate in a special education from Seminar HaKibbutzim in Tel-Aviv, and is an accomplished flautist.
