Research Engineer

Peer39 is the recognized market-leader in the semantic advertising industry. The company utilizes machine learning and natural language processing techniques to semantically classify web content to enrich the data that is available for targeting of online advertising.

We are currently looking for a bright and creative research engineer.

Job Responsibilities
  • Function as part of the Research team
  • Provide creative, efficient and robust solutions to a wide verity of challenges in the fields of machine learning, NLP, high performance systems and semantic advertisement
  • Ability to support full lifecycle of solutions, from ideas to active products, as a vertical focal point across the organization
  • Support both the cutting edge of the company’s technology, and the previous generation products.
  • Readiness for occasional travel abroad
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer-science, mathematics or related engineering field. Master’s degree or Ph.D. is an advantage.
  • 3+ years experience in research, or 5+ years experience in development. Experience as tech or product Leader would be an advantage.
  • Deep knowledge of at least one programming or scripting language. Knowledge in Java and/or Perl is an advantage
  • Proven experience in rapid prototyping, or in agile development methodologies
  • At least one of the following three. Two or more would be an advantage:
  • Knowledge of contemporary web technologies
  • Deep, hands-on knowledge in one of the following: machine-learning, NLP, high performance systems, optimization or applied mathematics
  • Profound knowledge of the online advertising industry
