User Interface Software Engineer

Location: New York

If you are software engineer with a passion for User Interfaces, HCI and data presentation, Peer39 would like to talk to you. As a User Interface / Data Anlaysis Engineer at Peer39, you will specialize in building responsive and elegant web UIs with a special focus on the presentation of analytical data in both tabular and graphic forms. You must able analyze a business requirement, assess the data available within a data warehouse and develop a representation of the data that addresses the business requirement in a manner which is easy to understand.

Job Requirements:

• 5 years experience developing users interfaces in an analytics environment
• Intimate knowledge of Web Development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX)
• Intimate understanding of SQL queries and data summarization methods
• Intimate knowledge of Oracle and/or MySQL query structures
• Experience with one or more charting packages
• Working knowledge web authentication techniques
• Working knowledge of PHP
• Experience with one or more Business Intelligence packages desirable

Sales Engineers

Location: New York

Sales Engineers are the primary technical resource for the field sales force and must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users. He or she is responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and advocate for our products.

Requirements:

• Must be able to identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process
• Must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle
• Must be able to solve technical issues on the spot without asking the engineering team

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for development and delivery of product demonstrations; including developing the product demonstrations
• Responsible for representing the product to customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars, etc.
• Able to convey customer requirements to Product Management teams
• Able to travel throughout the sales territory; in this case the entire US
• Searching for new clients who could benefit from company products or services
• Integrating Peer39 technology with the publisher
• Establishing new, and maintaining existing, long-term relationships with customers
• Persuading clients that a product or service will best satisfy their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery
• Offering after-sales support services
• Supporting marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events
• Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product will meet client needs
• Providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education
• Liaising with other members of the sales operations team and other technical experts
• Helping in the design of custom-made products
• Providing (and developing) training and producing support material for other members of the sales team and clients

Qualifications:

Ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in software sales and knowledge of technology. Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base. Must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, RFPs, and when submitting reports. Organized and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches. Must be prepared for extensive travel.
• 3-5+ years relevant experience in online advertising products (e.g., Doubleclick, Rapt, Solbright, etc.)
• Experience and familiarity of online advertising products and line of business a plus
• A B.S. in Computer Science or a related field.
• Familiarity with internet technologies (HTTP, HTML, XML). Strong java script skills
• Strong understanding of the online advertising eco-system: technologies, 3rd party solution providers, as well as related business processes

Research Engineers

Location:

Peer39 Labs, Israel

Responsibilities:

We're looking for Senior Research Engineers with strong backgrounds in developing software and systems for solving semantic advertisement and optimization problems. Knowledge and experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP), Machine Learning, Data Mining, Operations Research and Applied Statistics is necessary. The top candidates will have a MS/PhD, or equivalent, in Computer Science, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, or Electrical Engineering and several years of practical experience and excellent implementation skills. The candidates will work in close collaboration with other engineers, applied scientists, and research scientists in creating fast, scalable solutions to problems related to semantic online advertising. Good communication and interpersonal skills are required.

Requirements:

• MS in Computer Science, Applied Statistics or Mathematics
• Strong background in NLP, machine learning, data mining, and statistical algorithms
• Sound knowledge of standard computer science data structures and algorithms
• Fluency in Java, C or C++
• Fluency in Perl, Python or another scripting language
• Proficient in UNIX/Linux tools and utilities
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in formulating and solving complex industrial problem
• Strong teamwork skills

Preferred:

• Ph.D. in Operations Research, Applied Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or equivalent
• 3+ years of software development experience
• Previous participation in the full life cycle of a large project: design, implementation, testing, deployment and maintenance
• Good understanding of online advertising technology
• Data warehousing or high performance computing experience
• Good communication skills
